Get A Great Smile With Delta Dental Providers

Delta Dental sticks to a single equation in its quest to provide you with affordable but high quality dental care: more savings + more dentists = more satisfaction. Out of more than 50 million members, most are repeat customers who experience the benefits of Delta and sign up with the company year after year after year. In fact, the Brand Awareness and Perception Survey conducted nationwide a year ago showed that the company was able to retain 97% of its customers in 2008. This says a lot about the quality of service and commitment that Delta plan holders get from this leading company.

Delta offers its products and services in all of United States through an entire network consisting of 39 different Delta Dental branches nationwide. Delta also prides itself for its large and continuously growing network of dentists, all of which are highly credentialed and carefully screened

And Delta also gives consumers a chance to choose between PPO, DPO, HMO, and indemnity plans for their dental insurance so they can get the right cost-savings combination that meets their needs. Aside from that, Delta Dental offers AARP, TRICARE, and Costco dental programs to extend their benefits to those who need it the most.

Which Delta Dental Plan is For You?

delta dental Find out which delta plan would be most suitable for you :

  • Delta Dental PPO plus Premier
  • AARP Dental Insurance
  • Delta Select or TRICARE Retiree Dental program
  • Costco Group Dental Plans

1. Delta Dental PPO plus Premier

The Delta Dental PPO plus Premier dental plan is the combination of Delta’s PPO and its Premier program. The Premier program is a contracted national network of dentists who agree to provide services at negotiated fees. This is currently the country’s largest dental network. This, combined with Delta’s extensive PPO network, translates to even more dentists to serve you and give you discounted rates.

Under this combination plan, you can go to any PPO or Premier dentist and enjoy the same amazing discounts.

2. AARP Dental Insurance

Delta also offers a dental insurance plan exclusively for members of the AARP or American Association of Retired Persons. The organization consists of Americans over the age of 50. Members of the association are offered their choice between 2 PPO plans. Both plans entitle them to three free cleanings per year. They also have a wide selection of dentists to choose from.

3. Delta Select or TRICARE Retiree Dental Program

Delta is also the hand behind the TRICARE Retiree Dental Program, sometimes known as Delta Select. This is the company’s way of recognizing the valuable contribution of these retirees to the country. By offering them the access to affordable dental care both for them and their families, Delta helps them stay healthy and save more.

This program offers the same extensive PPO network to retirees of the Uniformed Services as well as their families. The plan has very low premiums so the retirees can easily afford it. It also requires very low deductibles but has high annual maximums so retirees and their families can get as many benefits as they can from the plan.

4. Costco Group Dental Plans

Delta Dental also offers dental plans for individuals and families who are members of the Costco Executive Members in California. The Costco Group plans are prepaid plans with low annual fees that members can easily afford. There is no waiting period so the members can immediately enjoy the benefits. Deductibles and maximums are also done away with. The members can choose dentists from the DeltaCare USA network. Members, however, are required to choose one primary dentist who will take care of most of their dental care needs and refer them to a specialist when necessary.

The Differences among Delta Dental’s Plans - Delta Dental Provider Themselves

The Delta Dental PPO and HMO plans are high-quality dental plans that offer comprehensive coverage, great savings, and a lot of dentists. The PPO plans or Preferred Provider Organization plans allow members to choose from PPO dentists, who have agreed to accept reduced fees as full payment for the services they render. When members choose a dentist within the PPO network, they can enjoy the discounts in full. When they choose from outside the network, they enjoy smaller discounts.

Delta’s HMO plans, on the other hand, are prepaid plans wherein you don’t pay deductibles nor will you be limited to annual maximums. When you seek dental care, you will be required to pay a fixed amount for it; this will be called your copayment. Some procedures, such as diagnostic and preventive ones, don’t require copayments. However, you get no discounts if you go to a dentist not part of the HMO network.

Delta also offers fee-for-service plans, which are also known as traditional plans and indemnity plans. Delta’s fee-for-service plans are known for its great selection of dentists. These plans work a bit like PPO plans. If you choose a dentist from the network, you will pay a certain portion of the fees for the service; this portion is called the coinsurance. The rest will then be shouldered by the plan. The coinsurance differs for each service. For example, you only have to pay a 20% coinsurance for preventive services but 50% for crowns and bridges. The main difference is that it offers several other advantages not offered by other plans.
