1. Basic Dental Coverage

The first type is the Basic Aflac Dental Coverage. The basic coverage offers a wellness benefit of $25 per visit. This is payable two times in one year, but each one should be separated from the next visit by at least 150 days. You also get an x-ray benefit of $10 per visit per year. These benefits can be claimed without waiting period, so you can avail of them immediately upon enrollment into the basic coverage plan.

This policy’s maximum coverage per year is $1200 for each person covered by the plan. Several other scheduled benefits are offered, but with waiting periods. This is the most affordable option offered by Aflac dental insurance. Rates, however, differ based on the customer. For example, the Basic coverage is offered to single people at a semi-monthly rate of $11.70 and $25.20 with orthodontics. For husband and wives, the joint rate is $20.60 and $35.35, respectively. Single parents can avail of the plan for $20.45 and $35.20 semi-monthly, respectively. Family rates are $29.45 and $44.20, respectively.

2. Standard Dental Coverage

The next is the Standard Aflac Dental Coverage, which raises the benefits you get from the basic plan a little. This Aflac dental insurance offers a wellness benefit of $50 per visit; same rules apply. The x-ray benefit is raised to $25 per visit per year. The plan’s maximum policy benefit per year is $1400 for every person covered.

The standard base plan is available to single individuals, husbands and wives, single parents, and families at semi-monthly rates of $15.20, $29.60, $29.20, and $44.15, respectively. When paired with an orthodontic coverage, the rates increase to $28.70, $44.35, $43.95, and $58.90, in that order.

3. Premier Coverage

The Premier Aflac Dental Coverage is almost exactly the same as the Standard plan, except for an increase in the maximum coverage yearly. The wellness and x-ray benefits are offered at $50 per visit and $25 per visit per year respectively, but the plan has a maximum of $1600 benefits for every person covered.

The semi-monthly rates for the Premier Coverage base plan is $18.60 for single individuals, $36.45 for married couples, $36.20 for single parents, and $54.45 for families. You can also add an orthodontic coverage by paying $32.10, $51.20, $50.95, or $69.20, respectively.

4. Premier Plus Coverage

But if you want a more extensive coverage, you can go for the Premier Plus Coverage from Aflac. This coverage offers a wellness benefit of $75 per visit, payable twice annually with a gap of 150 days or more between the two visits. There is also an x-ray benefit of $25 per visit per year. Both benefits can be availed of immediately.

The Premier Plus Coverage has the highest policy annual maximum coverage, which is raised to $1800 per individual enrolled in the plan.
